James Presnail
General Manager
James is your General Manger with years of experience at Shadow Ridge Golf Club and dual role as Chief Operator Officer for Monaghan Golf Inc. A man with a keen eye for dollars and cents, he’s a Class 'A' PGA of Canada Professional, and previously worked at Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club (Vancouver) after completing the Professional Golf Management Program at Humber College (Toronto). James is the 2013 Forestar Golf Community Leadership Bursary winner and was awarded the Jim Gibson Scholarship in 2012 for his volunteerism. In addition to playing in tournaments around the province, he also plays competitive badminton and codes for fun.
Mark Kitts
Assistant General Manager
Mark brings stellar customer service skills to Shadow Ridge Golf Club as your Assistant General Manager, in addition to his tournament-winning playing abilities as your Head Golf Professional. A Class 'A' PGA Professional, Mark currently a top ranked player on the PGA of Canada Order of Merit and has won several professional events including the 2019 & 2022 PGA of BC Club Professional Championships; Before transitioning to the business side of the golf industry Mark spent three years (2008-2010) playing on the PGA Tour Canada. Mark played several years of competitive hockey prior to his golf career and now plays competitive badminton along with James.
Garett Squire
Director of Agronomy | Superintendent
In his role as Director of Agronomy for Monaghan Golf Inc. and Superintendent of Shadow Ridge, Garett has overseen the upgrades to the course over the last few years. Prior to these roles he was Superintendent at Michaelbrook Golf and previous to this, he was the Assistant Superintendent at Talking Rock Golf Course (Chase, BC) for almost a decade. Garett also brings experience garnered from past roles at Northview Golf Club (Surrey, BC) and Fairmont Banff Springs (Banff, BC) as well as education at Michigan State University and the University of Guelph (Ontario) in their Turf Management programs. If you're lucky, you may see his trusty four-legged sidekick, Maverick, with him on the course!
Alex Sykora
Golf Shop Manager
Alex brings his golf expertise and retail experience to Shadow Ridge. A PGA of Canada Class 'A' Professional, Alex is a former member of the Capilano Blues Golf Team (2009-10) and represented Vancouver-Squamish in the BC Junior Games for golf, helping the team secure first place in 2006. Alex has been with Shadow Ridge since 2021 and has a Bachelor's degree in Film.
Lyndon Siemens
Chef
Chef Lyndon comes to Shadow Ridge from 19 Okanagan at Two Eagles Golf Course where he was Sous Chef for 12 years. He has been a Red Seal Chef since 2001 and has incorporated his passion for food and local ingredients with his love of golf. When he is not cooking up delicious food, you can catch him on the golf course with his two sons.
